On March 26, the Rotary Club of Canberra was involved in the Aussie Peace Walk, manning a checkpoint for the Vulnerable Youth project.
Through their involvement, they raised another $2,450 for the Vulnerable Youth Project, thanks in part to the page created on the event website about the project.
The Aussie Peace Walk is an annual walking event held in Canberra that attracts participants from all over the world. People of all ages take part in walks ranging from 7 km to 42 km on the last weekend of March.

There are many checkpoints on the roots and participants carry a passport that needs to be stamped when they pass each checkpoint.
The idea of the event is that peace comes from understanding and peace begins at home. So by encouraging people of all ages and cultures to walk together, to chat with each other, make new friends, learn and about other cultures, we can build peace in our community.
Participants represent different countries by carrying a small flag or wearing clothing to show which country they represent.
